0:00Hi everyone.

0:06I'm your host, Kris Ashley.
0:08I'm really excited for my guest today.
0:10I have not only a psychic, but he's also a therapist.
0:13So I'm really excited to kind of explore where those two worlds meet.
0:18First, a couple of quick announcements.
0:20Head over to the links in the show notes.
0:22We're going to find a book or a link to my book, Change Your Mind to Change Your Reality.

0:44And as always, this podcast is part of the Los Angeles Tribune podcast network.
0:48We do a lot in personal development.
0:50We have some phenomenal events coming up, so stay connected.
0:54We've got a lot of really great things on the horizon.
0:57Hi, I'm Kris.
0:58When I was younger, I went through trauma that caused me to feel broken and lost.
1:03But my life changed after I had a spiritual awakening.
1:07Since then, I've dedicated my life to studying and learning from masters all around the world that have helped me to create a life of fulfillment and abundance beyond my wildest dreams.
1:16Now I'm dedicated to sharing everything I've learned so that you don't have to suffer for decades like I did.
1:22I've seen people's lives completely transformed, and I share it all right here.
1:29All right, so with me today, I have Vincent Jenna.
1:32Vincent, I didn't even ask you how to pronounce your name.
1:34Is it Jenna or Jenna?
1:36No, Jenna, you said it right the first way.
1:38So that was very intuitive of you.
1:40Amazing.
1:41I like that.
1:41I'm picking up on your psychic abilities, apparently.
1:45all right, so I have Vincent Jenna with me.
1:47So Vincent is known as a tell it like it is truly authentic psychic therapist and spiritual teacher.
1:53Who combines his extraordinary psychic abilities, academic credentials, and genuine all loving approach to provide healing for mind, body and spirit.
2:02So welcome, Vincent.
2:03I'm so happy you're here.
2:05Well, thank you for having me, Kris.
2:06It's great to be here.
2:07I'm very excited.
2:09I'm excited too.
2:11so I always start my episodes the exact same way.
2:15And that is by asking my guest, what is your origin story?
2:18So what, I mean, you're a therapist and a psychic.
2:22So I guess for your origin story, what made you decide to want to be a therapist and also tell me about the start of your psychic abilities as well.
2:31All right, well, my psychic abilities actually started when I was 28 years old, and it all came out of wanting to help a friend who was originally my enemy throughout my entire school career until I was 18 years old.
2:45He initiated and caused most of the bullying that I experienced throughout my, my childhood, and that, that was on a daily basis.
2:55But at our 10 year high school reunion, In, I was kind of like a little famous in my neighborhood because before I was a psychic, I was a professional singer, actor and dancer, and I had been a dancer and singer in the movie Grease.
3:10So that the original movie Grease, not the second movie Grease.
3:13There is no second movie Grease in our book.
3:16It's only the original one.
3:18And so that made me a little famous.
3:20So I went to my 10 year high school reunion.
3:23And he embraced me there, actually ran up to me, gave me a hug literally, and wouldn't let me go, and he became a really close friend.
3:32But I had noticed that his life was falling apart, but he wasn't sharing that with anybody.
3:36But for some reason I was knowing something was wrong and after spending a weekend with him, my wife and I were at his expensive Connecticut condo.
3:47, that he always bragged about on our way home, I was in tears because I knew something was wrong.
3:54I felt his heartbreaking and I didn't know how I could help him.
3:58So it's actually a cry out to God to give me the ability to be able to help him.
4:04And with a week's time of that plea,, all of this paranormal.
4:10It was a Steven Spielberg, Cecil B.
4:12DeMille for your older listeners and observers here.
4:16epic movie that happened to me with all this paranormal stuff going on and spirits coming to me and, and trancing voices and all of this information downloading and then me tracing and then me knowing what people were thinking and, and knowing what the future was going to hold the next day, and, oh my gosh, it was, it was just a floodgate that opened for the next 3 months, guided in all different directions.
4:44that's basically how it started, and that is such a small version of all the experiences that both me and my family, I was married.
4:53, had a 2 year old child at the time.
4:57and so all this crazy stuff was going on in my life.
5:01And so now jump ahead and it took me years that I of studying research.
5:08I was working with people.
5:10I was in their minds, and I said to myself, you know what, if I'm going to be in there, if I'm going to be working in the darkest recesses of their psyche, I want to make sure I knew what I was doing.
5:23And so back in, 1992, I decided to go back to school to become a psychotherapist, and I got my BA in psychology and my master's in clinical social work.
5:38So I combined the two.
5:40Now, I'm not no longer a licensed.
5:42I had my own practice and I was working even as a hospice social worker besides my own practice.
5:49I stopped doing that and I gave up my license because it was easier to be a psychic slash therapist.
5:56, and the reason why I add the therapist part on, even though I, I'm not a practicing psychotherapist, though I do both.
6:04I'm both psychic and psycho, Kris.
6:07So everybody can, can definitely call me psycho here, and my wife does every so often.
6:14And so I, I combine the abilities, let's say, and all my experience and all the wisdom and knowledge I have had as a psychotherapist, and that along with my mediumship skills really gives me the tools to be able to help people create the life of their dreams.
6:33That's amazing.
6:33I love that story so much.
6:36Were you, were you scared when those floodgates opened and all of these things started happening?
6:41Or did you just kind of trust and and think, OK, this is because I asked for it?
6:46Trust?
6:47Are you kidding me?
6:49This is like, I was like, OK, you gotta understand, I wasn't scared.
6:55I was digging my heels in because I was being told all over the world that I'm going to be a spiritual teacher, and I'm like, no, I'm not.
7:05I am going to be a professional singer, actor, and dancer.
7:09I'm going to win an Academy Award.
7:11I am going to win a Tony and I'm going to win an Emmy.
7:13The heck with, what do you mean you, I'm supposed to be a psychic.
7:17What am I supposed to do?
7:19Put a palm up on the side of the highway like Sister Sarah?
7:22What was it going to say?
7:24Buzz and Vinny readings.
7:26I'm like, what the hell is that?
7:28No, I'm sorry.
7:29that wasn't going to fly with me.
7:31And so, no, I resisted for many years, even though I, I was still researching it and studying it, I wasn't using my tools right away.
7:43It's interesting.
7:44I feel like so many people who have these kind of gifts say that, right, that they were resisting and resisting and resisting, they didn't want it, and then they kind of eventually learned to embody it, right?
7:57Yes, yeah, I, I, I had a choice all along, obviously, right?
8:04But I didn't, I couldn't understand how it was supposed to be a full-time career for me, how I was supposed to support my family.
8:12Now I had two children, you know, that was coming up, and I couldn't give up.
8:19I, what we're resistant to is the human side of us in thinking we know what our purpose is and what our dreams are.
8:29And in reality, we don't always know what's best for us.
8:33And so we fight, and I tell people that all the time.
8:37A matter of fact, because I fought my spiritual will, and this is your will center, your 5th spiritual center, I created.
8:47A brain tumor for myself that is wrapped around my brain stem as we speak.
8:53It's actually called a schwannoma.
8:56It's the, your, your spinal, your nerve that goes down your spinal column is made of schwann cells.
9:03That was the doctor who discovered the spinal nerve.
9:07Well, that formed into a tumor and it's actually grown to the top of my spinal column.
9:13So, if it puts any pressure, if it continues to grow, it'll put pressure on any of my higher functioning systems and it could shut down anything.
9:22Well, luckily it hasn't grown.
9:24It's actually shrunk, and that's because I stopped going against my soulful will.
9:33And in fact, it's not that I've given up anything.
9:37I actually gained something, but we as humans think we know what we want.
9:44And we don't know what we want, and that's actually what my book is based on is not believing what you think you believe, and I was just understanding.
9:53That maybe this was the choice.
9:55And matter of fact, I know now this was a stole contract for myself, and my whole beginning life as that professional actor has led me to be able to do most of the work that I'm doing today publicly.
10:08I mean, I'm on television, I'm on radio, I'm on wonderful podcasts, right?
10:12And I'm, I do live events and I know how to handle the crowd.
10:16I move them.
10:17I'm motivating, inspiring.
10:19That Because of all the training I had earlier.
10:22So with my misinterpretation of what I was supposed to use those gifts for, and now I'm even more fulfilled than I've ever been fulfilled before.
10:34Though I do still like getting up on stage and I even still sing at my events.
10:39No.
10:40I I I love everything you just shared.
10:42Isn't it amazing how everything that we go through just perfectly leads us to the place we're meant to be?
10:49It's incredible.
10:51And you know, I've had a similar story with a growth actually that I had that, you know, we were just talking about Dolores Cannon before I hit record.
10:59I was under hypnosis and I, I, they did a body scan and I said, Oh, yeah, I have this like a lump in my breast, but at my higher self.
11:07And it's like, but everything's going to be OK as long as you stop getting involved in these earthly emotions.
11:12And then I went and got it checked out and it was there.
11:14And it's just, it's the same thing.
11:15It's like, if we're resisting that, like you said, or we're getting caught up in something we're not meant to, or on a path we're not meant to, like, our body reacts.
11:24It's really fascinating.
11:26It does because we're powers, and we were told from the beginning that we were created as spiritual beings before they were bodies.
11:35That once everything physical was created, we were told we would have dominion over everything that is physical.
11:42And what that meant was we were going to influence it.
11:46Not that we could do anything we want, we have powers over it.
11:49We were going to be influencing everything physical because we are a higher vibration as a spiritual being.
11:56So once we created the bodies, absolutely, your attitude, your beliefs, Systems totally are reflected in all the things that happen with your body.
12:07A matter of fact, one of my chapters in my book, The Secret that's Holding you Back describes 5 reasons we've manifested our own illnesses, and that's including accidents and injuries of any kind.
12:20And so we are in control of that, and I'm even dealing with some of that right now, matter of fact, and so many people around the world are.
12:28But yes, we're powers.
12:30We have all this energy and yes, it will.
12:33That's one of the reasons why people fear their power.
12:37Mary Anne Williamson, who was, who was one of the testimony people for your book there, which is wonderful, she wrote in Return to Love one of the greatest paragraphs and And sections that I absolutely love.
12:50And it's that, our deepest fear is not that we're inadequate, our deepest fear is that we're powerful beyond measure.
12:58It's our light and power that we fear.
13:01And, and actually, some of the greatest spiritual leaders.
13:05On this planet feared the exact same thing.
13:08I will tell you right now that when Jesus was here, and this isn't a religious thing, this is a historical thing, when he was walking through the desert for 40 days and 40 nights before he started his mission, supposedly the devil.
13:23Tempted him 3 times.
13:24No, it wasn't the devil.
13:26It was his inner demons.
13:27He was dealing with his fears.
13:30He was about ready to start this great mission that he set up for himself, right, like you're doing right now and like I'm doing right now.
13:38And meanwhile, the fear came along to him as it's like, is it going to change me?
13:43Are people really going to To appreciate what I do is, they're going to have different attitudes towards me.
13:48Am I going to use it or misuse my power?
13:51That's our fear about ourselves and our power.
13:55And so when we block it, it's going to turn into something if we don't let it out.
13:59Thank goodness you let it out, and there goes the lump, and you don't have to worry about that anymore.
14:04And same with me.
14:07Yeah, yeah, I love, I love everything you said and I also just want to call out something you said earlier that, you know, we think we have these purposes, but we don't really know.
14:16I was literally before this listening to Jamie Kerlima's new podcast, her first episode was with Oprah and Oprah said the same thing.
14:22She was like, We think we know our purpose, but only our our source, our creator knows that, right?
14:29So it reminded me of what you're saying too.
14:31OK, so you mentioned 5 reasons that we create our own illness.
14:35What are those 5 reasons?
14:37Oh goodness.
14:38OK.
14:39So now I have to remember them.
14:40Now you're putting me on the spot.
14:41I go to the chapter in my book.
14:43OK.
14:45now, understand something, they're all unconscious reasons, OK?
14:50So, so we manifest from our unconscious minds, not our conscious minds.
14:56That's what I write in my book.
14:58we, we cannot be connected to the power in our conscious minds because that would mean the moment we had a thought, it would be instantaneous.
15:08manifested.
15:09Now that would be really dangerous because half the world would be dead right now and the other half would be billionaires from winning the lottery all the time.
15:16So that can't happen that way.
15:19So where is it connected in our unconscious minds and what's in our unconscious minds are an accumulation of all those beliefs that we developed from when we were growing up, from our youth, from little us are in there as well.
15:35So that's where we manifest from.
15:37So, Being emotional beings and having power and energy, one of the reasons we become ill is from suppressed negative feelings and emotions.
15:50We have a defense mechanism that will shield us from those negative beliefs and emotions in order to allow us to function.
15:58That's one of the things that my research as a psychotherapist helped me to understand and learn.
16:04So, all of my studies have been around the cell.
16:08So that is one reason is you suppress that.
16:11If we're energies and you keep compressing, compressing, compressing negative energy, it's got to come out somewhere.
16:17It's like an atom bomb and we implode and we will implode with illnesses.
16:23We even implode with negative behaviors.
16:26A lot of what you're seeing on the planet today are implosions of people.
16:32suppressing all their negative self- feelings, but the brain has created a mechanism to defend us by creating a new set of beliefs.
16:41So instead of blaming ourselves because if we walked around like that all day long, we'd never get anything accomplished.
16:49We see that in those who don't have strong defense mechanisms.
16:54They experience things like major depressive disorder and anxiety.
16:58Disorder because their inner voice is coming up and saying you're no good, you're not lovable, you're not deserving, and they hear that all the time.
17:08But for the rest of people, the normal realm in that normal bell circle curve is they're all being defended by having these defense mechanisms that we don't hear those, but they're there.
17:25And since we're connected to a power in our unconscious minds, that negativity is going to come out somewhere.
17:35That's one reason.
17:36That's actually the major reason why most people become ill is suppressing all of that stuff.
17:41It can come out in the form of cancers or any kind of chronic disease or ailment, even car accidents because you're creating a negative energy, you're around.
17:50you.
17:51It's like the person who believes that they're going to step in a, a hole if there is one, and it forms unconsciously that happens.
17:59Remember, these are all unconscious reasons.
18:01Another reason is it's a great excuse.
18:07So, for example, you're unhappy at work.
18:11you are a caregiver for all these people and you're getting tired of it.
18:16But all of a sudden you start experiencing ailments, things that will take you out of work.
18:22Do you know how many people are on Social Security disability, even at a young age because they were dissatisfied with their jobs, never knew what their dreams were, were never fulfilled, but unconsciously they needed a way out and their minds and their bodies created a way out, OK?
18:42And so it acts as a great excuse for people.
18:47A third reason is, when was the time as a child, we received the greatest attention, Kris, when was that?
18:58Absolutely, when we were sick.
19:00When we were sick, and matter of fact, even abused children, the abused parents, the abusing parents would stop abusing during the time that their children were sick.
19:10Well, think of unconsciously some people who are lonely, who don't feel that they get the right attention.
19:17I can tell you right now, my mother-in-law was divorced, and so she had 3 children, and while her children were young, they were all attending to her.
19:26And that was great.
19:27My wife did a lot of help for my, my mother-in-law, but as they started getting older, they were going out of the house.
19:34My mother-in-law was getting sicker and sicker and sicker, and they had to keep helping her and helping her.
19:41Well, they got tired of helping her and even one day she said to them, I'm going to get so ill sometime you're going to be really sorry.
19:48And she was right.
19:49She developed kidney cancer and died from it, unfortunately.
19:54And it was she didn't intentionally do that, but unintentionally that energy in there caused that.
20:03There's a 4th reason.
20:06We want out.
20:07We're unhappy here, but we're not capable of committing suicide.
20:12So we wind up committing what I call unconscious suicide.
20:17We allow ourselves to become ill or sometimes we just want to leave.
20:22For example, my mother died and I knew my father.
20:27She was 86 years old.
20:28My mother and father had been married.
20:3062 years, they always said they were going to go together, go together, go together, right?
20:35But my mother went first because she had Alzheimer's and dementia, and she just failed to thrive, right?
20:42Six weeks later, my father, who was in perfect healthy condition, died of metastatic lung cancer that he did not have.
20:536 months prior, and he had this tumor on an artery in his lung that spread cancer throughout his entire body, died within 6 weeks, took him out of here.
21:06It was a way for him to leave without consciously doing something.
21:11He wanted to go, but he didn't know how to do that, and unconsciously, he wound up creating it for himself.
21:19That's how powerful we are.
21:22A 5th reason why is because we don't feel deserving.
21:27We don't feel that we deserve to be here, that we deserve anything.
21:32And so it's, it's a form of punishment.
21:35I'm not getting anything done.
21:37I'm not worthy.
21:39I'm not good enough, and again, not committing suicide.
21:42We wind up creating something that winds up taking us out of here.
21:46So, so we have such power.
21:50OK, that we are capable of doing these things for ourselves, just the same as doctors are showing now that we're capable of healing ourselves.
22:00That's what biofeedback is all about.
22:03Psychosomatic illnesses are.
22:05Completely emotionally related illnesses, high blood pressure, anxiety, all different physical issues with our bodies, intestinal issues, all IBS, all related to the emotional state.
22:21So, so doctors know that how we think and feel emotionally absolutely affects our bodies.
22:29So now plug that into a power source and it's going to even create more issues and more situations for ourselves.
22:37So, so those are the reasons why, or we want just out.
22:42That's actually part of the fifth reason is just one out because we don't think life here is great.
22:47And what you've seen so many souls leaving recently from young people all the way on up is because look at the state of affairs on this planet, and the souls is like turning around and saying, I had enough.
23:00I want to add.
23:01Here we know that we can continue.
23:03Maybe I'll come back.
23:05I don't know, but let's make it easy and I'm just leaving, you know, that's another reason why we wind up becoming ill or causing a reason for us to to leave here.
23:17So people have to understand that because they can control that too.
23:22Yeah, thank you so much for going through all that.
23:24You know, some of those I, I was definitely aware of like the repressed emotions and the excuse, but Some of that's really, really interesting, you know, I, I, my mother was one of 6 and didn't only got attention when she was sick, and then she went through all this trauma and didn't deal with it, and she's just constantly, she's like, your mother-in-law.
23:46It's the same thing.
23:48so, and that's a fascinating story about your dad too.
23:52So before I ask, you know, how we can heal ourselves and figure out what we're even repressing.
23:59You said something interesting in the beginning, you said that we always manifest from our subconscious.
24:05So, you know, there's a lot of people out there who, who study this stuff and who have been able to manifest things into their lives.
24:12So, you know, A, how are they doing that?
24:14Like, are they, are they?
24:17Doing the work so much that it's seeping into their subconscious, and B, how do we change our subconscious so that we can manifest these things?
24:25Excellent question.
24:26And, and let me just correct one thing.
24:28It's not the subconscious mind, it's the unconscious mind.
24:31We have three layers, OK.
24:33The unconscious mind has a thinking process as well, OK.
24:38the subconscious mind is an automatic.
24:41Part of the mind, OK.
24:42OK.
24:43So here's the, the answer to your question in, in all forms.
24:48First of all, there is a fallacy on how we manifest, and it's being taught, I, everybody is teaching that thoughts create, right?
24:57You hear that everywhere.
24:59What you think is what you're going to manifest, completely untrue.
25:04Because now you've got adults sitting there going, OK, I think I'm worthy.
25:10All right, I think I'm deserving.
25:12I think I should have a really good relationship.
25:14I think I should get a promotion at work.
25:18It's not about what you think.
25:20It's about what you believe because beliefs are in your unconscious mind, your true core beliefs.
25:29Now, don't get me wrong.
25:31Thoughts influence your beliefs.
25:34That's why you have to have good thoughts constantly.
25:38But the reason why some people are creating and others are not creating because the ones that are creating, like you said, are truly believing in what they want and believing they deserve it and have said it enough to get it into a belief system.
25:57OK.
25:58This is unfortunately what the new thought, New Age movement has done, right?
26:04We have all these wonderful affirmation decks, all these incredible books out there.
26:09OK.
26:09So, I write in my book and I want your listeners and viewers to think of this right now.
26:15Take a whiteboard, you know, one of those plain white boards and you got a black magic marker.
26:20I want you to imagine writing every negative thought and feeling you've ever had.
26:26On that board, right?
26:27It's filled.
26:27It's got to be filled with all these negative self-feelings.
26:30Now you've been introduced to the new wage, New Thought movement, and you've been given all these affirmation cards, which, let's say they're pretty pictures.
26:39They're pretty pictures of the affirmation card itself, and you're pasting it.
26:42All over.
26:43They say, just pay attention to those affirmations, say them every day, right?
26:48So now you're pasting them on the whiteboard.
26:50Oh, I want to say this, I want to say that, I want to say this, I want to say that.
26:54Now you've got a whiteboard filled with all those beautiful affirmations and pretty pictures.
27:00Have you changed any of your beliefs?
27:04No, you pasted them right over those words.
27:06Exactly.
27:08So what is necessary is bringing to the surface.
27:13You can't forget your past.
27:15You have to work with your past.
27:17You have to work with the beliefs that your past has created, and you bring them to the surface.
27:23That's what the work in my book does.
27:25And this is part of the healing and making the manifestation work is you bring those beliefs to the surface and once you see them, and I give exercises in there on how to do that, once you know what they are, then you can.
27:39Change them, then you can work on them and you can reprogram the subconscious mind then, because that's what programs.
27:48You've got the largest part of your mind is your unconscious mind.
27:51The smallest part of your mind, your entire mind only accounts for 2 to 5% in conscious awareness.
27:582 to 5% of your entire mind.
28:01That means 95% to 98% of your mind is in.
28:04Unconscious awareness.
28:05And when people walk around saying, Oh, I know what I'm thinking, I know what I am.
28:10I know who I am.
28:11No, you don't.
28:12You have no idea what's going on in the majority of your mind, and you're wondering why you're not manifesting.
28:18You think you're thinking the right thing, but that's in the surface part of your mind.
28:23Deep down, you're saying, I'm not good enough to get that job.
28:28I'm not lovable.
28:29I'm not going to get the right partner.
28:31I don't deserve to make more money.
28:33That's what is really going on in your unconscious mind and therefore that's what's being manifested.
28:40And so that's how that all works and why manifestation does work.
28:45You have to truly, truly believe that what you want and that you deserve it and that you can have it.
28:55Thank you for all that.
28:56That was such a beautiful description and.
29:01You know, we're like sabotaging ourselves 95% of the day, right, or 98% of the day, whatever it is.
29:07So, OK, so how do we figure out what's in our unconscious mind that's influencing everything?
29:15Because you know, we, we, I'm sure you know people like this too.
29:18I know people who post all the positive quotes on social media, but then everything goes wrong in their life and it's like and they're complaining about everything.
29:27Let me tell you something, that's with half of the practitioners in the spiritual realm out there.
29:32You know the old adage, Doctor, heal thyself.
29:34That was a long time ago that that was said, and it was mostly about the medical field.
29:39Well, now you can apply the exact same thing in the metaphysical field, OK?
29:44All the practitioners out there that are claiming to know what they're saying to help their, their clients and their colleagues even and sharing that.
29:54And meanwhile, their lives are all messed up, right?
29:59So, here, here is the thing.
30:01It's like I said, there are practices to be able to bring to the surface what you're really believing about yourself.
30:07But the first thing you have to do and the hardest thing any human has to do, when, when I get, do private readings, which I do all week long, right?
30:17The first thing I have to do is burst everybody's bubble.
30:22I have to burst their bubble because they're sitting there going, I had a wonderful childhood.
30:28Oh, I knew mommy and daddy loved me.
30:3000, no, I know I'm deserving.
30:33I know I deserve a right partner.
30:36You know, you want to talk about relationships at all and why relationships are all messed up.
30:40Oh, it's just that you can't find the right one where I live.
30:43Oh, and everybody is messed up, you know?
30:45And all guys suck and all women, you know what?
30:48And So there's all these excuses, and I have to sit there and I have to tell them, that is not what you believe.
30:54That's the psychic part of me.
30:55I get to go in.
30:56You can't lie to me.
30:58You can lie to yourself faster than you can lie to me because I'm the psychic that gets beyond your lies.
31:05You don't.
31:05You stop at what I call the adult made mind, the defense mechanism.
31:09You don't go further to see.
31:11What you're really believing because that's part of what's protecting you so that keeps you to function and what we call in the psychotherapy world, that's coping skills, right?
31:21But it's hiding what you're really believing.
31:25OK, so you think that you had a great family life.
31:27Where was daddy?
31:28How was daddy?
31:29How come you've been married 3 times?
31:31I thought your daddy gave you a lot of love and you knew what.
31:34Well, well, Dad wasn't home all the time because he had to work, but I understood that.
31:39I said, Oh, really?
31:40So at 5 years old, you had the wherewithal to completely understand why daddy was never home, not even on weekends.
31:47Never kissed you goodnight, never went to any of your baseball games, never went to any of your recitals, wasn't there, but you knew daddy loved you.
31:55How did you know that?
31:58Because mommy told you?
32:00No, I'm sorry, it wasn't that.
32:02And you know what?
32:02It's not just a matter of blaming the parents, but the messages that children receive from the environment, OK?
32:10Whether it be through their, their brothers and sisters.
32:12Oh, my brother was really good.
32:14I mean, he was really so smart and he was so talented, and I would I was never as talented as him.
32:21So what do you mean then that you had a happy childhood?
32:24You just mentioned all these things that to me would make you feel upset about your childhood, that you weren't good enough.
32:31Well, after I thought about it when I got older, I knew that it was OK because I had my own gift.
32:36I said, but that's when you got older.
32:38But little you is still inside of you and little you is influencing you, and you don't know that, not just adult you, we're an accumulation of our entire lifetime.
32:49So I have to break down the defense mechanisms first.
32:53You must, you must disempower your defense mechanism.
32:57You must be able to turn around and say to yourself this.
33:00If I am not manifesting what I am told and promised that we can all manifest, then somehow, some way I am getting in my way.
33:13There.
33:14When you say that, you now have a chance.
33:17But when you turn around and you keep saying, well, I'm doing everything right, well, I, it must be because the information is bogus, or everybody else deserves it and not me.
33:27Now you're in the victimization, you know, modality.
33:30You're never going to get anywhere with that.
33:32But it's OK to say I'm getting in my way because now you just took control.
33:38You didn't give up control, you just took control.
33:42And, and Kris, the hardest thing for people to say, and I understand it.
33:47Is that I'm the cause of my unhappiness.
33:52I understand that.
33:53That's why the mind, the brain has created a defense system to keep you from feeling that because that feels lousy when you first taste that and acknowledge it.
34:05But here's the option.
34:07You keep trying to manifest a good life and you're still not accomplishing what you want.
34:12And that makes you feel even worse because now you feel out of control, or you start taking control and you feel bad that you might have gotten in your way, but at least you know now you can get out of your way and create what you want.
34:30Which of the pains do you want to deal with?
34:33You know, we can either sit at home.
34:36And have a rotting tooth hurting us and causing a lot of pain.
34:44Or we can choose to go to the dentist who's gonna cause a little pain to get to the rotting and fix the decay so that you no longer have a decaying tooth.
34:55Which option do you want to take, quite honestly.
34:59Now, option A, sitting at home with a decaying tooth can actually kill you.
35:06And actually, not thinking that you're useless, and that you cannot achieve anything that you want.
35:14can actually kill you.
35:16As I said, one of the 5 reasons why we can become ill, and I've seen so much of that happen with people because they never felt their worth.
35:27They never felt in control, and they're they unconsciously gave up.
35:32So yes, does my system cause a little pain?
35:35Yes, it does.
35:37But it causes you to be able to gain control over your life first.
35:41Now, once you admit that you've gotten in your own way, then you, your desire is, I want to hear what my real beliefs are.
35:50And I actually do an exercise in there that you can bypass your Left brain thinking and actually have a conversation with little you again.
35:58It's called the personification meditation where you can communicate and it's kind of like automatic writing where you allow little you to say what he or she is really feeling.
36:12And then you go, I'm telling you, you know, all my, all my, my, clients who have my book, the people, oh, this has happened all over the world, and I get emails all the time that when they do this exercise, they wind up going, Oh my God, I never knew I believed that.
36:32Because they're hearing it as the first time as an adult, you know, we have memories, but quite honestly, when you look back as an adult on your memories, you're remembering them as the adult, not the person or the child who's gone through the experience.
36:53And there's a filtration system that actually can change those memories and again shield you from the right ones.
37:00So we have to bypass the left brain defense mechanism and the thinking to get what you're really thinking, and now you have something to work with to change.
37:10And I am constantly talking, I was abused, like I said, OK.
37:15So little Vinny was scarred.
37:17And even till today, Little Vinny wants to pop his head out and tell me I'm not good enough, that the only reason why people listen to me or have me on their show is because they're so nice and they're just being nice to me.
37:30That's what Little Vinny wants to say, and I have to be able to constantly let him know, no, that's not true, Little Vinny.
37:38Most people obviously because of their coping skills, have survived, all right, the majority of people and have gotten to a good place.
37:48They've taken care of a lot of their issues, but everybody has to remember every injury, emotional or physical, causes a scar, and those scars, emotionally or physically can be re-inflamed.
38:03That's the button pushers, all those buttons that we say people have.
38:08Those buttons get pushed.
38:10Well, it's the scar getting re-inflamed, and you want to make sure you have the tools to deal with the inflammation when that happens, so that you're not manifesting what you don't want and you're manifesting what you do want.
38:27So it's really about first acknowledging that it's your part, and then really figuring out what those beliefs are, and then do you replace them with other beliefs?
38:39Like, how do we build those constantly replacing them.
38:42Well, depending upon how old you are, OK.
38:46So for me, for example, I'm 69 years old.
38:49So I have all those years that the defense mechanisms were really strong.
38:54So I have to keep saying to little Vinny, much more than a 30 year old or a 25-year-old would have to say to their inner child to replace in the subconscious mind, because you brought that up.
39:08So that's what's important.
39:10The unconscious mind is the largest portion of our mind.
39:13That influences, that's right up against the subconscious mind.
39:17So that's doing most of the influencing.
39:20So that means when something emotional happens, what automatically kicks in is from your subconscious mind whatever train.
39:28That's what you call a knee jerk reaction.
39:30You see people, they get enraged really quick.
39:33What's your, what is your first response when you get really upset, you know what your subconscious mind has been trained then and where the training has come from.
39:44It's usually all those defense mechanisms and the buttons that have been pushed.
39:48That wind up causing you to respond and that 2 to 5% has to work real hard to retrain that part.
39:58So yes, you have to keep working with that unconscious part to help retrain the subconscious part.
40:05And does my work cause a lot of work?
40:08Absolutely.
40:10But here's the thing.
40:12If you go to the gym and you care about getting into physical shape, you can work out, you can do all the aerobics you want.
40:19You can work out all your muscle groups, right?
40:22Your upper body, your lower body.
40:24You, you, you go to my gym, all you see are the guys with the skinniest legs in the world, and their chests are out to here and here, right?
40:31You know, they look fabulous in long pants, but we beach time.
40:35It's like, what's holding them up?
40:36They're like toothpick there because they want to do what they're showing off, what you see the most, right, of their chest, and you can work on all of that, but if you want to balance out and you're working both, but there is one area.
40:48That you've got to absolutely work on at all times in order to allow the work you've done on the upper body and the work you've done on the lower body to come together and be supported, and what part of the body is that?
41:05The core, the core.
41:08Your weakest muscles.
41:11It's amazing that the part that holds together the two most important parts of the human body.
41:19Are the weakest parts of the human body, the smallest muscles down in your core.
41:26Well, your self-love, your self-belief, all the work that I am making you do is your core.
41:35And without working on your core, and it's the hardest thing to work on, but it's the most rewarding thing to work on because you can turn it around.
41:45And when you do turn your life around and you're experiencing all this wonderful stuff that you're manifesting, you don't even look back at the work you put in.
41:56You forgot how much work you put in, but it's the most rewarding work you will ever do.
42:03Yeah, that totally makes sense.
42:05So, you know, back to illness and repressing emotions, like if someone is sick and they're like, OK, you know, They, they, you know, they don't want out, they, it's not about an excuse, all of that.
42:18So it's like, OK, it must be a repressed emotions of some kind, but they don't even know what they're repressing.
42:23Like, how do they even start to figure that out?
42:26And then like, how do we heal ourselves?
42:28Because like you said, if we can make ourselves sick, we can heal ourselves.
42:32Yes, you can.
42:32Well, it's the exact same thing that I'm talking about.
42:35If you are ill, and this is what I do, all right?
42:38Anytime something happens to me physically, I immediately go in and I say, OK, what did I contribute to?
42:48Now, understand, I want everybody to understand, we are living in a physical world.
42:53You are going to have physical things go on with your body, OK?
42:56You're going to get colds, right?
42:58You're going to get viruses, right?
43:00Just like you drive a car, you're going to get a flat tire.
43:03You know, maybe a little fender bender, but you don't need to end up in a six-car pileup, nor do you need to end up with a cancer or anything like that, right?
43:14So yes, you'll get that cold, you'll get that virus, that's understandable.
43:18But when something significant happens, that's when I turn around and say, What did I do to contribute to this that I manifested this?
43:26And so that opens the doorway right away, and that takes courage to allow to come to the surface what's been going on.
43:35So I assess what's been going on in my life.
43:38I assess how I've been feeling.
43:39I assess what I've been saying.
43:42, there are great books about that.
43:45Louise Hay, especially, she became very famous by writing her book The You Can Heal Your Life.
43:52She had stage 4 cancer at 62 years old.
43:56all the doctors chalked her off, and then she went through affirmations and a whole alternative medicine route.
44:03And she healed herself completely, right?
44:06I met her.
44:07she finally died at 86 years old, very happy, happy, healthy life, from that point on, and, and developed because of her book, one of the most successful, famous, self-help and spiritual book publishing companies in the world, Heyy House.
44:24Well, she has a book you can heal your life.
44:26And in that book at the back, there's a list of all these ailments, and then it is correlated with the emotional cause that could have influenced it, and then an affirmation to help you.
44:40Change it, OK.
44:42Edgar Casey is another one that has material on every single illness that you can possibly come up with and how to resolve it and the emotional cause of it.
44:51So you want to be able to link, for example, very simple, OK.
44:56, anything to do with your lungs, your heart, your chest at all.
45:03This is your 4th spiritual center, also the blood that passes through your heart.
45:07It's your love chakra.
45:09It's your love center.
45:10It's actually the thymus, which is located right near the heart.
45:14So, if you have any issues of self-love, Or anger or, or resentment of others because of your lack of self-love, you can very easily develop issues in your lungs, in your heart, diabetes, heart attacks, breast cancer, lung cancer is all related.
45:36to issues of self-love and lack of self-love.
45:40So you can immediately take any ailment and actually figure out what it is that has been causing it, OK?
45:48And so that will help you figure out what you need to do to help heal it.
45:54And then, of course, you have to have the faith and the belief that you can heal yourself.
45:58That's primary in all of this, right?
46:01So yeah, so, so I, I love that book, by the way.
46:04I, I use it like my little medical journal, and then the other person who wrote one like that is Dolores Cannon's daughter Julia Cannon has the same kind of book like that.
46:13, OK, so I have to ask, how much of this is, you know, what we've been talking about, like, you make yourself sick versus sole contracts, because, you know, I believe that we have contracts.
46:25You even said sole contracts at some point in this conversation, where we choose big life events that we're going to go through, because they're going to give us the opportunity to learn and grow and level up if we choose that path.
46:37So how much of this is, you know, kind of preordained versus our doing?
46:43OK, that is an excellent question.
46:46, there could be a significant amount that you have preordained for yourself.
46:54I will say this, which is really easy to say.
46:58All children Who become ill or are born with disabilities, they've completely chosen that, OK?
47:08for two reasons.
47:10One, to heal, something, some karma from the past, past lives, and the second is usually to help their parents get on a spiritual journey.
47:22Some way or another, they're wanting to help their parents, right?
47:26When any child is sick, A usual course.
47:30This is not a definite, OK, before everybody starts writing me.
47:35But the usual course is the parents will turn to God to find out why or to get and gain strength.
47:41The other side is that parents will divorce because it hurts them so much they no longer are support to each other.
47:51They're actually not supporting each other and each person is now dealing with their own guilt by themselves, which then turns towards.
48:00resentment towards each other and it breaks apart the marriage because it's too painful to deal with the fact that you have an ill child.
48:08So either can happen even though the latter happens more than the former.
48:14They do go onto a spiritual journey together.
48:17All right, that's children.
48:20I know for a fact, I set up a lot of my abuse.
48:24I set it up with my own parent because they abused me too, to become the spiritual teacher that I want.
48:31Now, There's a good chance that in the process of that, I got caught up even in more earthly stuff than I needed to.
48:42Now, Either way, I will say this.
48:46Whether it's a sole contract or something you get caught up in, it's all stupid and unnecessary.
48:53What a dumb thing to think that, oh, I'm going to make my life tough down there because I'm going to clean the slate and I'm going to be strong.
49:01But think about this for a moment.
49:03Think about those who are here on earth only.
49:06All right.
49:06Think about the kids that are going to college or even adults going back to school.
49:11Oh, and they feel so gung ho because they have a goal.
49:14They have a dream of attaining this particular degree and maybe they will double major cause they want 2 degrees, some even 3 degrees, or when they're going to do it instead of 4 years or 8 years, they're going to do it in 3 years.
49:28Now they're in school and it's kicking their asses, and some of them drop out, some of them change their majors.
49:34Some of them say, oh, I can't do this, and they take up the full years that they're meant to go, right?
49:39Now, if we do that here and we have a limited mindset, Could you imagine what we would take up for ourselves in a world where we, where we have unlimited mindset?
49:51We know on the other side, we are completely unlimited powerful soul.
49:56And we are up there all gung ho.
49:59All down.
50:00Yes, I'm, you know, this is my last lifetime.
50:02I'm taking it all on.
50:03I'm going to clean the slate.
50:05I'm going to become spiritual.
50:06I'm going to be a spiritual master down there.
50:08You just watch and wait and see, and you set up all of this karma cleaning for yourself.
50:13Oh, you're going to get punished, you're going to get a disease.
50:15Oh, maybe even shot and you have to deal with not having a leg for the rest of your life.
50:20Oh yeah, I'm going to go through all of this, man.
50:22It's going to be so cool.
50:23My soul is going to grow like hell.
50:26What a dumb ass thing.
50:29A matter of fact, I make this joke.
50:31Here is Jesus and God having a conversation before Jesus's soul is coming down on earth.
50:37And God is sitting with them.
50:40The guy goes What What are you gonna do?
50:46This is like I'm gonna go down there.
50:47I told you, wait a minute, what are you, Mahuda?
50:50You're gonna go down there and you're going to do all this preaching, and yet you'll get some followers and you'll get people, but you're gonna go on a, they're gonna nail you to a cross and you're gonna prove to them that they, I'm, you're my best kid.
51:03Now I have a chance of losing you too where are you.
51:06Crazy, don't do that.
51:08No, I've got to, dad, you know, I'm the one who wants to get them back and remind them who they are.
51:14Somebody has to go down and do that.
51:16Well, then send Joey instead of you.
51:18I mean, he was always a pain in the ass up here anyway, don't you go down.
51:23And I can't imagine the story that was said instead that God sent down Jesus.
51:30I can only imagine that God is going, Oi, I'm gonna lose another one because pain and suffering does not pull us closer to our source.
51:43It actually pushes us further away, and I believe that our human concept of retribution.
51:53Instead of restitution, has pushed us further away from source and each other.
52:00Retribution is the concept of an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
52:05So once you have that belief, then you'll have it for yourself, that the only way that you can clear up a debt is by going through one yourself rather than restitution that teaches us.
52:20You know, that was a wrong choice I made, and I'm not going to make that again.
52:25That's restitution.
52:26That's mercy.
52:27That's what mercy is all about.
52:29You do not have to be punished or go through punishment in order to make up for something that you may have a lower choice.
52:37All you have to know is that it was a lower choice and what the results were, you're not going to do it again.
52:43That's it.
52:44But we put ourselves through so much, Kris.
52:47Yes, can a lot of these diseases that people are going through down here be from sole contract, but here's the other part that people have to hear.
52:58Every life is still about free will.
53:02You can stop the sole contract at any given time.
53:09You don't need to suffer to grow.
53:12That was a Buddhist concept that was created because they were hurting so much.
53:17They were trying to find a way to.
53:18Compensate for that hurt.
53:20So they created the belief that suffering creates growth.
53:24No, that is not a guarantee.
53:27And you know what?
53:28Yes, does the human spirit, can we make lemonade out of the lemons that you throw me?
53:33Yes, we can, but we can also be sick and tired of lemonade, and then we don't make anything.
53:39OK, so that's what's happening on the planet today.
53:43We have to stop the suffering and the belief that we need pain to grow.
53:50I really appreciate all of that.
53:52So I'm also a student of a course in miracles.
53:55Are you familiar?
53:56Oh, very familiar with it.
53:57And what what you said exactly is what Jesus says, right?
54:01He's like, everyone was so focused on the crucifixion.
54:04They didn't even pay attention to the resurrection.
54:07I did that to show people that you don't have to go through this sacrifice and the suffering, right?
54:14It to show that it's unnecessary, like exactly like you just said.
54:18So.
54:18Well, that's actually what Jesus' message was.
54:23He says, Listen to me.
54:24I want to show you what can be done on this planet through my example.
54:30That's what he meant by I am the way and the truth and the life.
54:34He was like, I am the example of who you are.
54:38OK.
54:39Now look at me.
54:40I'm going to allow them to kill me.
54:42I'm going to allow them to punish me.
54:44I'm going to allow them to hurt me.
54:46And yes, I might get weak, you know, that's where he said, you know, why have, Father, why have you forsaken me?
54:55But the first thing he said was forgive them for they know not what they do.
54:59He was trying to show us that even with torment and pain, we can still be attached to the God force and that as long as we know that we don't need to go through the suffering and pain then to prove that he did.
55:13And so he didn't, and the interesting thing.
55:16Is that the religions took that Catholicism in particular, took that and use that.
55:24He sacrificed his life.
55:26He sacrificed something.
55:28You sacrifice something when you get married, right?
55:31No, you don't, and no, he didn't.
55:34When you give something willingly, it is not a sacrifice.
55:39It's an offering.
55:41He offered himself as an example.
55:44He did not sacrifice himself, and God certainly didn't sacrifice him at all.
55:50I have a Total concept about that, but of course that has to be said and used in order to put fear in us, in order to get us to act a certain way, which is what keeps us from creating the lives we want to start with.
56:06But I have something funny to tell you about a course in miracles.
56:11So Catholicism, right, in my book is all about excuses as to why we haven't grown and evolved, right?
56:19That we come up with humans need excuses.
56:21One of the first excuses was that we're sinners, and that's the reason why we're not, you're not going to go to heaven and let you do, you get rid of the sins and you repent.
56:30You're sinners, right?
56:32So we got, we didn't like that concept.
56:34We got rid of that concept.
56:35But here's what's funny.
56:37Marianne Williamson was very well known for teaching the course of miracles, and she wrote a book on it.
56:44He dedicated an entire chapter to the fact that yes, we all have the capacity to be like Jesus.
56:52Yes, we're meant to walk and talk like Jesus, but chances are we won't.
56:59Because why?
57:01Because now our egos get in the way.
57:05So she helped and others create another excuse as to why we're not perfect, why we're not capable.
57:17Achieving that highest consciousness is because of ego, and I have a whole lecture and a book that I'm writing about God and your ego are one.
57:30The ego is definitely getting a bad rap.
57:32It has nothing to do with the ego that gets in the way.
57:35It has to do with our defense mechanisms, which is in our unconscious mind.
57:39The ego is in our conscious mind.
57:41Ego just identifies who you are and it gives you the ability to appreciate who you are.
57:45It does not control a thing.
57:48Your unconscious mind is controlling all of that, but yet we have to come up with an excuse why we're imperfect.
57:55So, how do we get to act better if we're constantly being given reasons why we shouldn't be?
58:02Hm, yeah, I like that paradox, I can't believe an hour's flown by.
58:11I feel like I have so much more I want to ask you and so much more we could talk about, and you know, you're always welcome to come back on the show and I just appreciated all of the wisdom you shared with myself and listeners today.
